Rachel Corrie shouldn't have even been there. I hate to sound so callous but she had that sort of American arrogance that's gotten our country into the trouble it's been these last ten years or so. She gambled her life, and she lost.
As for the Palestinians, I truly feel for them. Their story is indeed a sad one, as the loss of their own country is. However, not all Palestinians are innocent, but not all of them are terrorists either. Same goes for Israel. The Hebrews have had a tragic history (a gross understatement for sure), and yet that does not justify the actions of those Israelis (not ALL Israelis mind you) who would use violent means to achieve their not-unreasonable ends.
But your last sentence is right on the mark: enjoy life while you have it.

Actually, there was an incident in the '60s when they discovered an American C-130 Hercules in a hangar in Mexico with its cargo bay shoved full of the white-stuff.
There's a former LAPD narcotics officer that's doing research and whistle-blowing in regards to CIA-sanctioned drug trafficking. I think his name's Michael Rupert or Ruben or something like that. I'll double-check on his name...
