I meant the C pillar, but I was talking about the Ford since the Forester has them already painted and always has (like in the picture in the first post). If they were painted on the Ford then the Ford would look more like the Subaru.

The way I look at it, the Forester is an Impreza dressed up to look like an SUV, so it is no surprise that lots of other "whatever" SUV's on the smaller side look alike. Isn't that the primary appeal of SUV's in the first place - keeping up with the Joneses?

it is extremely hard to be original nowadays. car designs keep overlapping each other- the only ones that don't are the ones that date too far back for most of us to remember!
