uhh the bronco looked somewhat similar when it came out in the 80s....the explorer was like that in the early-mid 90s....i dont think they copied the design, they just slowly lengthened the hood lol its not like ford is chevy and completely steals a design...the interior is different and so is the drive train im sure, so even if there is some design influence in the explorer its not like its a complete rip off of the forester

Doesn't look like a Forester to me at all... The headlights and fugly altezza tails are maybe the closest thing.

I agree that the it is a total bite of a suby... But those headlights had me juicin at work... Overall, I sorta like it. Then again, I might be biased due to my previous car (Ford F-250).. The STi Forester still "Rox my Sox" though, My 2 cents..

the fords rear end looks a LOT better (minus the altezzas)

the forester front is nicer though.

It's only fair for Subaru copying the age-old Edsel grille for their '06 model line.

But in all seriousness, it might be a little similar but I don't see anything specifically copying. If they would have painted the B pillar black then you might have something there.

Actually, all Foresters except for the STI have painted B pillars (or is that the C pillar?)

But, yeah, the more I compare the two, the more I see the styling differences. But at first glance, the new Ford could pass as a Forester
