How about the VW Golf R400

 

Looks pretty good.. now if they do actually bring it to the states...

 

Didn't know ford made the VW Golf R400, Since the OP is talking about possibly Ford releasing an STi competitor. Wonder if they are doing this because of Block and people saying, why cant i get an AWD Focus and hoon like Block.

 

They've been making the Focus RSes for years just never in the US.

 

If this does come to the US im sure it will whip the STi sadly.

 

FMC are the kings of building concepts people want than not coming to market with them

This. I've got a 2013 ST and it's a great car, very happy with it. The whispers that I've heard is that if they do decide to bring the RS stateside it'd probably get the same motor as the 2015 turbo mustang, which would be the 2.3L versus the 2.0 that is in my car.

Take that for whatever it's worth.

 

No mater what you do, it's still a ford. Nothing in the universe can fix that problem other than fire, lots of fire.

 

Sounds interesting. I guess the question is how well will the AWD system work on the car.
