Fixing a crack in the windshield?

I was wondering if anyone knows a place or spot reasonably priced to fix a crack going through the windshield. A rock chip from a while ago (I didn't see it, as it was underneath near the wipers) started to crack and work it's way up the windshield due to the cold weather...

How much would it cost? (it's less than a size of a dollar bill)

and is this for real? lol

If it wasn't a crack in the windshield, just a scratch in the laminate that holds the glass together, then that might be possible. I don't know about the mixture he used to do it, but there are definitely products out there that do similar things for eyeglasses.

Best price I found so far (that has has good reviews) is Fremont Windshield Replacement.

149 flat + there's a coupon for 10 bux off, and there is a discount for student/senior. So maybe around 125 for full windshield replacement? Lifetime warranty on any defects. Might do that one... hmm

What the Deuce? How the heck did he figure out to add Salt, Bug Spray, Rubbing Alcohol & Water and have that work to repair a windshield?

Once a chip turns into a full on crack, there is no fixing it.

At my job we go through a lot of auto glass and believe me, we've tried

There is a kit by Prestone at Walmart in the automotive dept for about $10 that can repair your crack. I have used this over and over again on several different cars and it works killer...

Most chips can be repaired with a Suction-Cup kit.

Pretty much any autoglass place should be able to do this in an hour for ~$30

we use
