hello BAIC, got a front plate ticket when i was parked over night in the city this weekend. was wondering if i can get any cop to sign this or if it has to be a sf cop. I'm pretty sure its any cop but just posting to make sure.

 

Any cop can sign it off from any county.

Be forewarned - most PDs now CHARGE you an additional fee to have an officer come out and sign your ticket. If you are not a resident of that city - expect a VERY high increase in the price.

I tried to get my Los Altos ticket signed off by a Sunnyvale cop and since I wasn't a Sunnyvale resident; they were going to charge me an additional $40...on top of the $50 for the ticket.

Fortunately I got to add another name to my Wall of Fame for Awesome LEOs as I walked outside he signed off on it; no fuss, no muss.
