i have a question, what tint do you have in the front. Also, what's the main reason for people tinting the front? Heat? Sunlight? thanks

There isn't a "main" reason to tint the front. Some people do it because of sun light, some do it for interior protection, some do it simply because tinting only the rears looks wierd...

5% looks really good, especially on black cars. I used to have it on mine, but got a ticket for it. Oh well, I can't complain, I was breaking the law...

Why don't you just pay the $100 fine, so you don't have to remove the tint?

in california you cannot add any tint to the front windows other than what the car came with stock from the car manufacturer. all car windows are tinted a little bit, something like 87%-92%. its not enough to really tell its there. in the back you can go as dark as you want. 5% (limo tint) is what people usually get in the back. i dont know if there are any limitaions to tinting if you wear corrective lenses.

Years back I got pulled over in my MR2 turbo for having limo in the front. I asked him if i could avoid the ticket if I pulled it off right there and he said yes (as if "I gotta see this"). So I pulled up a corner of the driver window with my pocket knife and
R-R-R-RIIIIPPPPP!!! Pulled the tint right off. Asked if I could do the rest later because I couldn't see through the glue left on the window and he sent me on my way. Went home that night and cleaned it and re-tinted it same day. No ticket.

this is not recomemded though.... just a funny story. I did my own windows and still had the tint at home. That window wasn't perfest anyway...
