a fire fighter kicked my car
so i was on my way to work and there was a accident west bound 237 before mathilda and i was in the left lane when traffic was backing up, there was a ambulance approaching me so i moved to the center lane, ambulance passed and i merged back to the left lane as we get closer to the accident scene the ambulance pulls in to where the area (2 right lanes) was blocked and a fire fighter was signaling the ambulance driver in then as i try to proceed past the area the fire fighter starts waving his arms like a retard, the road was completely clear and he did not give me a proper hand signal to stop he was just waving his hands like a retard so i just proceeded i saw no danger of me going by and there was many cars behind me . as i proceed he runs over and kicks my door as im going by.
Was I wrong to go by?? I see no reason why he would do that and even if i was wrong he should have just put his hand up like a cop would telling me to stop. the thing that gets me the most is he dented the shi* out of my door.
no my driving record isnt the greatest but i wasnt speeding or being wreckless i was just passing by between 5 - 10 mph.
i guess this is just a rant since i can not identify the guy or anything and if i went to court the judge would look at my record and say i was wrong anyway.
but what the hell is his problem i dont care what his job position is you cant be kick ing peoples cars even if they are wrong thats just really f**ked up

usually when people wave their arms crazily, it means "look at me" or STOP!
did the people behind you stop? in any case you should have gotten his badge.

You should have STOPPED...immediately and pulled over. At the very least to write down the engine number.
Whether you were right or wrong in passing has nothing to do with the guy deliberately kicking your car. They should have to pay the repairs.

well, you never know, you were going into a direction where you cant see if there is a person laying on the ground....
i would stopped and got out and asked him why he did that.
describe this "retard movements?"

Maybe call that Fire Dept. to apologize/inquire about what happened?
I'm pretty sure that if you come at it from the approach of wanting to learn what went wrong so this kind of thing can be avoided in the future everyone will feel better about it. I'm also pretty sure you'll never win any argument with them so I wouldn't try to file any complaints.
ps, sorry about your door

heh.. is it just me or do firefighters usually have this cocky/arrogant attitude?
none the less i respect them, but thats completely out of control... its not like he ran up and signaled you to tell you hey don't go.. i would have stopped my car.

and for the other comment about the road being clear the accident was clearly on the right shoulder in the bushes and the road infront of me was completly clear of any debris or anything

Thats why I think calling or stopping by would be a good idea: he comes off as a responsible concerned citizen and they can discuss what happened, why, and how it can be avoided in the future.
Firefighters and Policemen can have attitude problems for sure, but they're ultimately there for our safety and therefore deserve our respect whether or not we always get along. I doubt the firefighter that kicked the car felt good about his actions, but something led up to it. It couldn't hurt to discuss it with someone at that station.

Sounds like you're lucky the police weren't there to write you a ticket for failure to follow instruction of emergency personnel. If a firefighter at the scene of an accident is waving his arms at you, do you really think it's up to you to decide if it's safe to proceed? You were being an idiot.

so the firefighter wouldve been in the right if he kicked the front of your car...to stop you...but since it was on the side it was preventable... you WOULDVE still had a case...but since you didnt pull over...oops
