My Droid 2 can do anything an Evo4G can minus the 4G. Same as the Droid X, the DInc, the Nexus S, the Droid Pro, the D2G, or any current up to date phone Android phone.

I don't think this is the worst time to buy. I think you can still get a pretty good deal. If you are planning on cutting-edge technology, wait it out. If you just want a phone for everyday use, you can still score a pretty good deal, though, I still think it can go cheaper.

I just got my Droid Pro on Thurs and really like it so far. I dont know enough about it yet and im going to keep learning about all the features that i can do and is capable of doing. Before I bought it I was in the Verizon store for close to 45mins just asking the sales dude questions about the phone. Making sure it did what i wanted, what it could/couldnt do compared to other android phones they have as well.
My last phone was a BB Tour and I actually really like it (and it was my first BB). The ONLY thing I didnt really care for on it was the internet, oh well.
Before that I had the LG Voyager, LG EnV, LG V, and then some crappy flip phone that came standard when I got my number. So ive had 6 different phones in 6 or 7 years. Ive only had to get a new one (LG Voyager) because I dropped it too many times and I got it wet, and all that was my fault.

I'd read articles but it's nice to see CNN covering it.
I can't wait to switch off of ATT, little ****'s won't give me a fair upgrade price when I'm willing to sign up to be raped for 2 more years. Not to mention ATT is literally the worst company there is.
Yippie, Bye bye ATT

not as great with the internet coverage on the phone but their "edge network" Pulls 4mb down and 1 mb up.
I've had nothing but good experience with Att customer service,
There has been a few times they were willing to work with me and cut down my bill.
I can say the reception has improved in the area that I live so that's a plus.

It's obvious you're an anti-Mac person, who has never owned an iPhone, or experienced its build quality. You know me, you know that I'm not a small guy - and while riding my bike (metric century), I lost forward momentum and landed on my back - RIGHT ON the iPhone, and it's not got a scratch on it from that encounter with the gravel surface. I've dropped it a few times, without any issues whatsoever. I can promise you that the HTC and Motorola phones don't have that kind of build quality - under the same circumstances, they'd most likely be crushed under my fat a** weight, and I'd be buying a new one.
Perhaps if you spent time with one (I've had mine for nearly 2 1/2 years) you'd find out that unless you run it over with your car, it's not a bad phone.
Speak of things you know about - and the build quality of the iPhone is not one of those things. I'm not interested in your comebacks from PC World magazine reviews, etc. - nothing beats personal experience, of which you have none.

The company I work for had 19 iphones for 2 years before we switched as a company to verizon. Of the 19, I had to replace 12 for bad screens, 3 for full broke/cracked (it was 4 but one fell down a elevator shaft so I don't count that one), and 1 for brick/lockups.
Trust me, I have had my fill of iphones, and Blackberrys, and of all the OS out there so far, Android is one of the best. The phones have shown so far (now, we have only had them for 6 months) to be pretty strong, the customer service is #1.
Now everything said, there are features of the iphone I can apreciate. For one any braindead idiot user can pick one up and use it in a few moments. Where as with the android phone I had to hold a hour class to get some of my users to understand the basics. However, I would still give someone a iphone over the ****ing blackberry. Thats one OS that someone should be shot for comming up with.

Regarding damaging the phones - a nice plastic case will help a lot. My wife and I have 'incase' cases for our iphones and we've dropped them many times over the past two years but no damage, practially brand new. The case absorbs the impact.
On the other hand I've seen a lot of people without cases have really ****ed up phones. Cracked screens, broken buttons, etc. I mean any phone, blackberry, android, iphone will all break if you drop it from 4 ft onto the cement and it lands on its corner. What do you people expect, for the phones to defy gravity?

As I said earlier, I have slammed my hero into the concrete when I tried to grab it right after it slipped out of my hand and smacked it instead which resulted into it dive bombing into the sidewalk and exploding everywhere. I do have a skin on it though, but I doubt it absorbs much impact. It still works perfectly, so maybe my hero does defy gravity....
