I've given up explaining to people about how I like cars because of the machine, and how automotibe engineering is the ultimate embodiment of everything that comprises mechanical engineering, etc. There are the dumb masses in the world, and you gotta appeal to them when you make a movie. And that's that.
That's why as a Muay Thai practitioner I gotta say "Ong Bak" r0x0r3D!

Oh, and if you want a more realistic modified cars kinda flick, there's some pretty good Japanese movies you can check out. The "Shuuto Kosoku Trial" series is thin on storyline but is a great excuse for a buncha guys to take their tuned S13's, R32's, Z32's, etc. and let'em rip on the Kanjo and other Tokyo metropolitan highways Just be forewarned, they were shot in the early 1990s so everyone looks like the MXC kind of Japanese people LOL. Also, "Over Rev" is a pretty story of a young girl who gets bitten by the drifting bug after going to a meet in Odaiba. She reads Option magazine and combs the classified for her first car, which turns out to an AW11 MR-2. Not too bad a movie if you can find it

Someone made a movie and put it on the net, they called it 3 fast 3 furious, it was pretty funny, a bunch of teenagers making fun of F&F with their home movie camera

I'd like to see a "car movie" in which the people with the nice cars actually WORK for their cars and spend time and love with their cars instead of stealing/killing/inherit a fortune to buy the cars. And in the end make the car blow up in a huge ball of fire and have the main character survivor and change his hobby to stamp collecting.

NOW THAT IS FAST AND FURIOUS *****!!!!

That wouldn't really make sense. Because the people who work to buy nice cars already make like 500 grand a year. So basically, the movie will be about a guy who's a VP at some investment banking or law firm, who recieves his paycheck in mail and then on a whim goes to the Porsche dealership, them takes the remainder of his paycheck and adds another 500 horsepower, and then goes and picks on ricers.

WEAK!

Erm, I use a ghetto PC from 1998 and I'm still on 56k Dialup so I don't think my movies are going anywhere. Plus some of them are on VHS as opposed to VCD or DVD

But if you wanna rent Japanese movies like the ones I've mentioned here before, get a membership at People Video in J-Town SF or Video Eye at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Santa Clara for all your JDM needs Oh, and I'll provide translation services or send a representative for a price of course
