I prefer a stick shift!

GTR transmission shifts great although in high HP app's needs a lot of money spent on it to work.

I'm not a fan of paddles from my own personal driving perspective although that being said our new setup uses buttons to shift!

If you're changing gears mid corner, you're doing it wrong.

I can see how that would be the case. And any high performance car needs extra attention!

Well even if it did go around with the wheel, lets say you were in a turn that required the wheel to be half a turn around and you've changed wheel grip positions.... which one downshifts? oh your right hand? wait the left oh no, wrong shift. Oooops.
+1 yes i feel disconnected with paddles and smg and yes its awkward when paddles are attached to hub slower response in figuring out which ones up or down

all I can say bring back the old school f1 cars! lets see your real multitasking skills!

Sure it can be faster, and great addition to speed, but for something for racing lets test man and his machine. Nothing beats the all end just CAR and MAN with no electronic nannies.

Mountain road or track; there are very few times when you would need to remove your hands from the wheel to complete a turn. The only time my hand comes off the wheel is to shift I've been on the vast majority of mountain roads in the bay area too.

Some of them you push to upshift pull to downshift, doesn't matter which paddle.

You have very flexible arms my friend.

But my hands have to come off my wheel all the time. The WRX steering rack is kinda whack. Go drive Quimby and tell me you didn't have to remove your hands from the wheel.

Driven Quimby many, many times, in quite a few different cars but not the WRX. All the way to the peak and back. I grew up at the base of Mt Hamilton. My parents still live right by Alum Rock Park. There are a few turns on Mt Hamilton where you do have to swap hands, as well as a few super tight, greater than 180 degree switchbacks on Calaveras, but those are the exception rather than the norm IMO.

I have thick arms. I probably have to go hand over more often than the skinnier folks. But up on hammy there's a TON of corners I can't stay planted on. Doesn't mean I'm not quick up there. LOL!

You get your end links figured out?

Yes, endlinks swapped yesterday and the Perrins are complete and ready to go. We haven't closed the deal, so I think that may still be on the table if you are interested in them. I need to go try these on Quimby But have to get the tires on first, these were pretty scary in the rain the other day

I went ahead and finished up my whiteline matching set. LOL!

I put a set on the front a few weeks ago and the rears just came in. I'll pick em up and install them early next week probably.

I have some kartboys in my garage that are going to Walker and I've got the Perrin's that are coming off. I'm gonna see if I can do something fun with them. Not sure what yet.

Good luck selling those thing! People on Nasioc eat up Perrin so maybe try there.
