yeah...squeeling. I brought it in for an oil change. Told them the pump was squeeling and either going out or needing lube on the belts and described the turbo issues and asked them to look at it. They did...and found it was all bad and ordered new parts. SCS has done what I asked on all this. Figured I had like 3000 left on the warranty...better do it now...and was right.

it's SOA that's jerking me around.

If they deny warranty in the end buy a used stocker, and install the dang thing. Its like a 2 hour install, and requires very little skill. The PS pump if thats what it is, is easy. Once again buy a used one, and install it. Its hard to screw the stuff up. I think the whole thing could be no more than $500.

Sorry to hear the predicament THEY are in! I'm pulling for the folks to do the right thing for "us" smart customers. And +1 for Charlie being da man over there!

keeping receipts for oil wouldnt work. Even receipts from a jiffy lube wouldnt work unless they take down the VIN # (i dont know, i dont let street racers change my oil ive never been there)

i started keeping my oil receipts for when i sell my car, but thats dealing with people with hearts, not businesses with cold hearts and dont want to lose money.

I've got a number and a call to make. I'll make that call. let them talk to sc subaru and try to do the right thing.

If that doesn't work I'll escalate. If that doesn't work Ive got a couple ideas.

So I couldn't find the post, however I did find an article that might help.

covered not just the obvious emissions-related items, but also the coil, fuel injection, spark plugs, speed and temperature sensors, throttle body, turbocharger, even secondary ignition wires.

If the dealership believes that your vehicle has been properly maintained, why is it they can't state this fact to SOA to get your warranty work approved?

GMAC did the same with me when i had a blown engine. They aproved me then denied me. I came in with all receipts of oil changes and mileage when they were done and they finally approved me. It took me 3 weeks for them to see the light. In the end they said they would pay for the motor except the oil and fluids. I said no biggy. They did the work and then called me a few weeks later said its time for you to pick up your car. I pick it up pay the fee of a 100 bucks 50 for the oil change and fluids and 50 for my deductable. Part way home i get an oil light coming on. I stop the car and check it.. NO FLIPPIN OIL!! They forgot to put the oil in. I was just in awe over the whole thing.

Good luck with all of this.
