Talking Exchange GT4 with dual-layer DVD-R

My old PS2 wouldn't read DVD+R, and the only dual layer blank DVD media available on the market now is DVD+R. So if anybody can burn a dual layer disc with bit-setting to booktype DVD-R, I'd like to provide the image of GT4 chinese version in exchange, and of course I'll pay for the blank media.

Last I heard none of the released images were functioning. Did someone finally get a hold of one that works?

anyone know whats the easiest hack for the new slim PS2? I've seen these plastic bits that you stuff into the lid area to do a swap... but not sure if there was a better/easier way?

well I been doing some researching...

seems like there is no way *yet* to get GT4 to run from a copy...

quoted from afterdawn...

"Not yet, at least with GT4. No one knows how to downsample it yet, can't compress it, and the original is PTP (Parallel Track Path meaning that it reads both layers from inside to outside), DVD+R DL is OTP (Opposite Track Path meaning first layer is inside to outside, second layer is outside to inside). Keep checking the threads though, I'm confident someone will get it eventually."

They do have copied GT4 games for sell in hk (Not only GT4, but everything)
Nothing can stop the "copying business" in hk.

those are not actually *copied* they're pressed DVDs. Basically pirated out of the manufacture plant.

thats why those work and the copies don't.
