Hey what's up EQ/Ed!? Been a little while, how's the shop?

Finally picked up the 2016 STi and awaiting the break in process. Will be setting up an appointment for an oil change and possible part install/tune. Maybe even a compression/leak down test

Quick question that's been driving my crazy and I cant find the answer too, what VF turbo is on these new STi's? VF48? I stopped paying attention after my GD days with the 04 WRX.

-Eric
PS: I wont have you guys swapping for any 207's this time around Though, 500whp @31psi was fun on that 2L

Nice pickup! I really like the 2015+ STI. Looking forward to making some power... and check out the new flex fuel setup from Cobb!

Hi Ed,
when will you be ready to support this new Flexfuel kit?
I have your E85 & 91 tunes already on my AP v3, once i buy the hardware kit from Cobb what else will be required?

We're all set and ready. Already sold a couple kits and keeping them in stock. Give us a call and we can get you all set up.

Thanks

The stock solenoid does fine.. no need for EBCS. A chargepipe is a good idea, though I would recommend an upgraded intercooler as well.

Thanks

So here we go with the first round of mods. STi is bone stock. About 1.5k on the clock right now. I will be ordering these parts soon, please tell me your thoughts on this first.

Shooting for 300whp on 91.

Mod list
-Cobb 3in CBE
-Cobb AP V3
-Drop in air filter
-Hallman Manual Boost controller
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-NGK sparkplugs

Will also be getting an oil change done with Amsoil

Id like to keep the stock DP on for now if that's possible. But if needed I can also pick up

-ID1000 injectors
-Catless DP

Keep in mind, I will eventually want 400whp in the future and don't want to keep re-buying bigger fuel pumps, injectors ect. If I can just buy the big boy stuff now for small power to then drop in a GTX30r later that would be ideal.

Shoot me a PM if you'd like.

Thanks
-Eric

Hey Eric,

You'll need the downpipe, AEM CAI, and headers to get anywhere near 300whp on 91.

For the fuel pump I'd go with the AEM 320lph Ethanol compatible pump. This will give you enough headroom to run 400whp later on. For injectors, you'll need 1300's to get to the 400whp range. You can run those now and have it ready for that as well. You will also want to run the Cobb FPR retrofit kit to smooth out the stumble which gets much worse with larger injectors.

Let me know if you'd like a quote on all the parts. We also generally price match parts if you find a better deal somewhere else.

Thanks

On full E85, you should be able to get around 200 miles per tank but depends on how you drive. Not sure about legalities of a fuel cell. But the best thing about flex is that you can always throw in 91 and not have to worry about it.

Bills have been slapping me in the face lately. Can I get an appointment for a classic oil change for now? We can discuss future plans with this thing while I'm there.

I have about 3k on the clock, what else would you recommend we do since you'll have the car for the oil change anyway. If I can get in this Friday or Sat that would be best for me. Shoot me a quote through PM

Thanks
