I don't have any release dates on the DW1000cc sidefeeds yet, although they're running great in Chris's car .

I've been looking at the ID conversion kit and I'm planning on getting the 2000's for my own car. It seems like a good solution overall but I haven't tried it yet personally, so I can't say for sure. With how well the 2000's have been running, I'd probably just say go with those instead of the 1000's .

Yep that thing is a BEAST. He managed to trap 119mph at the drag strip!

For a little VF39, it's actually holding power to redline extremely well .

Here's a little update on this car:

The customer went back to the strip yesterday even though there were heavy clouds in the sky and it was raining periodically. The track prep sucked, so he couldn't get a really clean pass. Despite that, he managed to hit a trap of 119.6mph! I believe this is the highest trap we've seen to date on an STI with a VF turbo

Thanks

This is a car we built about a year ago. The customer wanted more power, so we put in some 850cc injectors and tuned it on E85. The results were great all around. We didn't have to push the tune too hard to get great power and a very nice, smooth powerband. These E85 VF cars are just soo much fun .

- EQ Tuning Stage 1 Shortblock (CP Pistons, ACL Bearings, Forged STI Rods, Balanced/Polished Forged STI Crank, Balanced & Blueprinted to our strict specs)
- EQ Tuning Stage 2 Heads (5 Angle Valve-Job, Bowl Blend, Stock Cams)
- Invidia Catless DP
- Greddy 3" Catback
- GT Spec UEL Headers
- Hallman MBC
- Walbro Fuel Pump
- K&N Typhoon Intake
- PE 850cc Injectors
- RPS Max Series Street Clutch
- Stock VF39, Stock Inlet, stock TGV's etc
- EQ Tuning Custom Tune using Cobb AP V2

You think the stock STi clutch can handle that kind of torque? What kind of limit do you see the stock clutch being? I'm a bit hesitant to go E85 on my stocker w/ 55K miles...

It really depends. I've had customers with stock clutches hold the torque no problem, and I've also had others slip at much less torque than this. If you're feeling lucky, it'll probably be fine. If it isn't we, can just turn the boost down .
