I had the same exact experience. Went to Carlsen, was told the best they could do was check inventory later and call me - never did. I went to Steven's Creek and the guy got me in a test drive within minutes, wasn't pushy and the whole thing was nice. If they had a SGM I might have stayed longer. I prolly drooled on that very STi as my girl and I were looking at them whilst the guy was getting the keys.

I went by Carlsen again (it's close for me) and they same guy was like "oh sorry I forgot to call you back." Still had my card with him. Later on he emailed me an offer for an '07 Wagon for $29,950.

I had a similar experience at Santa Cruz which is where I bought my '03 Sedan new. I asked about SGM wagons and the guy said "Hmm I don't think we have any of those." I was like... Ok... And then? Haha.. They did however have a '02 4EAT Wagon w/ something like 70k miles for $19,995 though... Hahahaha.. Waste of a long and crappy drive down 17.

Carlsen Subaru is different than Steven's Creek Subaru. One is a no haggle dealership, the other is a volume dealership. The former is a take it or leave it price, the latter is a let's haggle price.

Both business models have their up and downs. If you can't negotiate very well, no haggle dealers work best, but you may end up paying more than another person who is good at negotiating at the volume dealerships. The down side to volume dealerships, is of course the haggling and the amount of bs involved. Some prefer not to deal with that.

we thought about the limited. their grey color w/ the touch of blue is pretty sick... but all the "limited" didn't add up to the extra cost. specially all the crap we would have taken out.

and what's the deal w/ the limited NOT having BBS?

anywho... steven's creek rocked out on this out. went in there w/ one price agreed upon... and there was no deviation from that price... no bs... no drama...

i've been playing w/ the headlight adjustment a lot!

oh man... that wing really gets attention... i was rollin' around san ramon and out of nowhere i had a VW and a is300 rev @ me... fun fun fun.

can't wait to put wheels on this thing!..

There was one car at Stevens Creek that I was willing to ditch my RS for. They had the last brand new regal blue pearl Legacy GT on their lot a few months back. Congrats on the car mang.

I was told the Limited has the cheaper wheels to offset the cost of the leather interior and the front lip. That car is hottness. Like an STi, but with only 1 scoop of rice.
