downpipe install suggestions

my $0.02 - take the harness of the o2 sensor off before you drop the pipe instead of taking out the sensor. its a lot easier if you are using jack stands than to bust ur knuckles and stuff. just follow the wires theres 2 little clips then the connector

edit: it makes the CEL fix easier when ur not doing it under the car too :banana:

You're gonna need to cut/modify the heatshield to fit over the bigger DP, or get an aftermarket heatshield

I haven't put a turbo cover over on after my downpipe swap, and I do not really notice any performance issues.

I notice more heat coming off my hood at idle with out it on. Also, just for visual it helps a lot.

i think the heat just creates heatsoak for the intercooler, which isn't that great for performance, but i wouldn't say it's damaging to the turbo since the heatshield doesn't seperate the turbo and downpipe.

no since the heat shield doesn't protect the turbo from the DP heat at all. It's meant to help prevent heatsoak on the I/C.
