maybe not "a lot" guys doing the movie trailer voice-overs, but as this vid shows, only a handful... with the most famous, most recognized, etc. being the most recently lost to us Don LaFontaine.

oh snaps he lives.

Yeah, DLF typically did the action movies.

The other folks hold down the forts for other genres (i.e. comedies, chick flicks, Disney, etc.).

well unless all of Hollywood has set foot in your doorway...

Im just saying its not like we wont have cool movie trailers to listen to anymore. They wont be 100% Don, but we will make a new 100% benchmark with some new guy with a deep voice and a good writer and voice coach.

i love this guys routine

just like you said... voice coach.

takes years of experience. If you heard all the out takes and re-do's you would know what i am talking about.

btw i have done voice over sessions with:

Don, James Earl Jones, Sigourney Weaver, George Gaynes, Geoff Saint John, Gary Mora just to name a few.

If you want to get into voice acting you should give it a shot. It can be a blast, and if your good it pays incredibly well.
