I have never heard of Garage 1 and I have been part of the subaru scene since 1999, so I'd go to proven shops like GST and EQ. The reason I mentioned GST is because it's closest to you.

 

yeah, definitely should not cost you what the dealer quoted you at. You should shop around and get another estimate. My dealership quoted me close to $4000 for a maintenance/ other minor problems when in reality I got it all taken care of and then some at LIC for a fraction of the price.

You have a lot of great shops to choose from here on i-club, it all depends on how far you want to drive... EQ is in fairfield if I remember correctly (soemwhere around fairfield), GST is in Hayward, and LIC is in Novato, and of course Speed Element in Fremont, who are also good.

We're having a huge event in a couple of weeks call "BAM 9", it's our 9th annual large meet. It's on August 9th at 11:30am at Stafford lake in Novato.
