Good for him. Not like he needed it anyway. As rich guys go, he is fairly generous, though residents in his area still took him to task each time he tried to build something.

I knew that, just wasn't sure if they would actually make the movies...

Are you with Lucas Arts or Disney?

Be aware. Disney is a ruthless and vicious business machine internally. My wife was middle management for their internet group for quite a while. They DO NOT F around at Disney.

Not sure how it is in the land of the force. I always imagined it'd be super fun and chill like Pixar.

Lucas. Not too worried about the culture/environment changing too much around here.

Thats cool. Disney raped Go.Com and beat the hell out of ABC when my wife was with them.

It puts a very different face on the brand when you've seen it from the inside.

Depends on the market/company I guess. Pixar and Marvel have been largely left untouched with little change/influence from Disney etc.

Good point. In the case of Go.Com, it was at the height of the ".com" bubble and companies were hiring security guards as web admins for $100/hr. Disney was not keen on the building full of useless 20 somethings they had just inherited and cleaned house. It was necessary and the folks with real talent and credentials were untouched. ABC was similar but, it was a large contingent of "good ol' boys" that had been there forever that needed purging to move forward.
My wife rode it out and we almost moved to Burbank to work at the studios but, that place is fugly and no place to raise a kid.
It sounds as though you'll cruise and enjoy some nice discounts at the park now. :P
When she left Disney, my wife's discount at the park was, almost, 40% off of everything. I had hella churros.
