I heard the box coolsat pro 4000 can be used with 2 direct tv dishes for free dish network or you have to buy a dish network dish. I don't use this but I know this works.

yes you can use 2 directv dishes for sats 110 and 119 and works fine......dont be afraid to buy the coolsat's, pansats etc because FTA (free to air) is LEGAL. It however becomes ILLEGAL when you flash the receiver to unscramble dish programming or bev.

I don't want to get channels we haven't subscribed to.
We have a Dish, it's have 4 recievers., 2 are here at the house, 2 are at my uncles, (who also has a dish. We pay 1 bill. kinda shady, but whatever).
I want to add a 5th reciever, for me, in my room. Our plan has 4 recievers, and I just want to know if It'd possible to just get 5th one. Maybe I can add one more for $10/mo. But I thought why not try to just get a reciever from ebay, and then plug it in.
I guess this is much harder...

you point it south west or east IIRC with an open view (no trees in the way) and check the signal on the tv or just get one of htose tools from ratshack that will beep when you get the correct position
