did my first oil change ever!

this might sound really stupid to a lot of you, but i've done the first oil change by myself ever in my life. all went well, thanks to the info i've gathered on the forum. toughest thing was removing the filter, it wont bulge by hand, and i had to get a filter wrench. my car hasnt blown up yet, so i guess it's a success

Rock on. It doesn't sound stupid to me. Everyone has to start somewhere right? Keep it up! Next step, motor swap!

Congrats! Did this myself a few weeks ago. Great feeling once you've done it, huh? I also installed a fumoto valve too, to make the next change even faster and easier

Man, I haven't changed oil myself. Now you've got me all motivated to do it myself too! :P

No seriously, I haven't. I should get one of those Fumoto valves too.

nice. just changed my oil (castrol gtx with auto rx before mobil 1) for the first time on the wrx as well on saturday with a fumoto valve as well. Filter was a ***** but I managed to get it off without a wrench. Also, Just did a headlight mod and a Bosal downpipe install that night after my oil change. Careful, you just keep wanting to do more.
