If supply and demand was simply "competition" as you seem to believe we would just call it competition and save ourselves some room in the dictionary. You are simplifying this more than "a bit"... you are simplifying to the point of absurdity and incorrectness and as such you would probably make a fantastic politician.

your argument is simply argumentative- face it- supply and demand doesn't work without competition- yes, theoretical economists can draw lines on paper to predict how the supply and demand relationships are altered when competition is shifted between the supply side and the consumer side, but to deny competition as a critical factor underlying the expectations of the principles of supply and demand....how do you remember to breathe?
