will the parents actually get prosecuted/sued here, or are we purely speculating? i'm seriously curious because i'd like to see some kind of accountability in these situations. obviously no one is just going to admit to it with the checkbook out pen in hand, "how much do i owe Maaco?"

yes thats how it works, if the kids are minors the parents are 100% accountable. The dealerships insurance will cover the repairs and take the parents to civil court, if they dont have the money to cover it they will declare bankruptcy.

Though this will cost more than the paint jobs, since all these cars will have to be sold with these repairs disclosed, and nobodys going to want them for anywhere near what they would have sold for before.
