DD totalled, anyone dealt with Farmers?
New neighbor sideswiped my daily driver. Happy they stepped up to the plate and admitted fault. After getting an estimate at 100% of the value of the car, I'm pretty sure they're gonna total it.
Anyone dealt with Farmers and their total loss process? Any advice on approaching aftermarket add-ons, and recent maintenance? Anyone done a buy back?
I appreciate any advice.

I had farmers, although most reputable car insurance companies are the same. They'll have investigators investigate the value of the car if you were to purchase another one exactly same model, year, and similar mileage.
As for aftermarket parts, last time my car was hit and totaled, the body shop told me to grab whatever the heck I want first before the adjuster comes and takes the car. The only aftermarket part I had was a shift ****, so I grabbed that.
Good luck!

I hit some with farmers and an old GF worked for them hahah.
Plan or your rates going up.. like a lot...(even though its not your fault) farmers is super awesome at 'being fair'
I have AAA and it's pretty easy just have them look at it and they WILL low ball you a number. Tell them all the improvements. They can add value for new/replaced parts like new tires, transmission etc. but not things like up to date maintenance.
You WILL have to fight with the adjuster to get more.
And regarding the buy back, they will just subtract the car buy back cost from the quoted totaled valve.
hope this helps a bit-
ps im interested in the motor when you get it back

Sure! Yamaha V6 out of a '94 Taurus SHO? Want the manual transaxle too?
I'm actually pretty upset that this car got killed. It's easily the cleanest example outside of a factory/dealer museum piece.

Eibachs & Konis, V70R wheels. The aftermarket hi-flow catted Y-pipe really makes the Yamaha sing.
Actually sold the 92-x/Sti mashup to my roommate. You can just make it out in the background
