One person died in a crash in San Jose this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
A red sport utility vehicle crashed at about 6:30 a.m. on San Tomas Expressway just north of Stevens Creek Boulevard, CHP Officer Scott Cakebread said.
The SUV was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

the vehicle skipped off a few trees before going directly into the sign and the tree behind it
we left a stuffed animal so far in the tree to the left of it
all of us are gathered at a local friends right now telling stories and talking
we are going to have a meet at the mountain view krispie kreme this thursday, also known as the MVKK meet, so please plan on that so far.
there is a lot of information coming into us as time goes on, but we'll post "how it happened and what happened last night" later

Wow. Just wow. This is just terrible terrible news. I've had a few beers and some great conversation with Daniel of the years. He's truly one of the better people I've met over the years and always struck me as a solid dude. Always remembered me even if it was a year between chats. Just a solid guy with a big future ahead of him.
Just terrible. If at all possible I'll be there at MVKK to just share in the event. Keep us all posted on services, memorial funds, etc.
At this point all I can say is Godspeed, prayers and well wished to the family and close friends on dealing with this sudden tragedy.

let me know i work right around the corner... you guys know that... this just sucks... whenever i go on my road test in customers car after doing work on it i go right by that park and that tree... now i'll remember it even more... it just sucks so bad....
