Unfortunately Joel & I have a prior engagement later this afternoon we can not get out of. However we will be going to the park very shortly to pay our respects to our friend. We're not going for a meet or a BBQ. This is just such a tragic event & I feel it's really childish that anyone else is trying to tell people when & how they can mourn the loss of a friend. This is way bigger then just one person.

We will all be there for the same reason and that is to be there for Dan.
^well said... the point of people going out is to show respect and embrace the good memories and some people do so in different ways. im sure if it was a bbq,a meet, close friends gathering or any of that sort Dan would be down to go. what im saying is that we all lost a good friend and thats something we all have in common

RIP Dan, still can't believe this happened.

He was a good guy, I didn't see him too often but every time he stopped by the shop or if I ran into him @ a meet, he was always a great person to talk to.

You'll be missed

Condolences from everyone here @ wheeldude

Wow! I only meet Dan once and he was very very nice to my wife and I (new Subby owners). My condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Daniel

I just realized too, was it a red SUV? I saw the cops pulling it on a trailer yesterday morning on San Tomas just past Stevens Creek. I told my friend how bad it looked and hope the occupants survived.

EDIT: Confirmed by reading news article. Wow, I saw his car. Did not look good at all.

His subaru wagon is just fine.

there is just some information which might not be publicly posted (at this time, or not at all). i don't know any other way to put it really. so i'll just leave it like that

but he did not drive his own vehicle, so his wagon was not involved.
