i left my friend's place in SF to head back to berkeley at around 2:30 am. long story short, i ended up getting back into my apt at 4:30 am. they shut down the entire eastbound section of the bridge from where 101 merges back with 80 - i was sitting in my damn car for 2 hours straight having to get routed off 4th street, and then back onto the bridge around 1st.

GOD i hope that never happens again...

 

Is that why there was so much traffic today??? I'm not driving around the bay that often, but when I do its usually on a weekend... But today seemed like there was 10x more traffic than usual.

 

theyve been closing that part everynight for a while now, real pain.

 

No yesterday's traffic was caused by the football game and that crappy music at SBC park.

 

Didnt you guys get the memo? The Bay Bridge will be very grim at nights for about the next 18 months.
