Tough to say, I'd say there were about 20 kids that fit that description. LOL

LOL> true that.

Though I doubt many of them run as quick as he does. Or pull the tree lines he does.

If you saw him he would have been going into or coming out of the trees. We rarely see anyone where we go and we rarely see anyone going as fast.

Sounds like we need to get a run/meet up to snow country and do a little riding has anyone done a gauging interest thread? Mt Rose has 2 for 1 every Tues.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I just got back from a week and a half of pure Tahoe pleasure . I went up Thursday night, the 23rd, and wasn't expecting a whole lot. Rode the park most of the day on Friday, and even rode for an hour and a half on Christmas. Nothing too spectacular, just groomers all day. Didn't ride Sunday, just recouped from the Christmas ordeal with 13 family members up there. Rode Monday, and again, nothing to write home about. Tuesday was the same.

Wednesday was when the goodness began. There was about a foot of fresh at Sugarbowl and it made most of the mountain rideable. Pretty damn fun, and it just dumped all day. Wednesday night it dumped something fierce and ended up closing the mountain (Sugarbowl) and all the freeways on Thursday. No biggie, we watched my new Star Wars DVDs and shoveled snow in preparation for Friday. Friday was retarded. There was roughly 5 or 6 FEET of snow on top of the foot or so they got Wednesday. There was also a huge crowd to go along with it. We got on the mountain by 8:45 or so and went straight for Lincoln where the line for the first chairs was already forming. First few runs were epic. Faceshots down the whole mountain. Even the regular runs were feet deep. You could drop almost any cliff without any worries. Disney didn't open up until 11 or so, but we got some sweet tracks there when it opened. Didn't stop for lunch 'cause that's when the lines disappeared . Just an amazing day.

Didn't ride Saturday 'cause we were beat from New Years and the traffic getting anywhere was hectic as hell.

Sunday was probably the best day we had up there. The crowds were almost non-existant. There was about 14 - 16" of new snow and that was on top of the whatever number of feet they got the previous 5 days. Didn't wait in a line for more than a minute the entire day. Absolutely amazing. One of the best days of riding I've had in my entire life. Cliffs, face shots and HUGE pow turns were had by all. Brilliant!!!

I hope everyone had as much fun as I did over the break

there have been talks between a few of us for months.

My family has a house up in arnold so one of the ideas has been a bear valley weekender...maybe a Fri-Mon..or Fri-Sun. Or something.

It won't be until later in the season though since I have a bum knee at the moment. I got knee surgery on Sept 29th. I'm pretty close. It pops constantly. Hurts like hell. Gets and usually is swollen. But it's stable. Just a matter of getting the swelling out, getting stronger and loosing some weight..haaa.

But I'd totally be down for a june run as well. For sure. I want to ride there so bad.

as for my bro. He's down....weekends only for him in general. He lays tile up in Elk Grove at the moment.

Oh....and he's more F8stAhr than me. LOL.

little bastard took everything I tought him and improved on it. Course..being 30 pounds lighter than me doesn't hurt him....and 6 years younger..lol.

so yeah..keep me posted.

I figure my first days will be the end of this month. I should be at reasonable..I can keep up most of the day speed by end of Feb. If this season is anything like the last 5 it will be peak season around that time. Every lately has gone like this...

decent snow early. Then no snow. pound in early january. Then no snow. Then hit hard feb. march. april. I was hiking 3 feet of powder in mid april last year.

Where in Truckee are you Josh? My parents have a place in Tahoe Donner, and that's where I'll be most of the weekends until the snow melts We should hook up and ride sometime and maybe grab a beer down in Truckee.
