usually u dont do this and just replace with plugs and wires ....but u check your wire resistance? sometimes JUST sometimes you can have a high res wire. otherthan that if u replaced everthing else with OEM, ya i cant think of anything else but fuel delivery. goodluck!

I had misfires on 1 and 3 for a long time. Problem turned out to be the timing belt skipped a tooth. Replaced the belt and everything else for a 90k service and turned out fine. Hopefully you wont have to go that deep, but if you're running out of things to check, may want to look into that.

Wrx don't have sparkplug wires that's why they are coil overplugs

Might be too late since you replaced a lot of stuff, and this may not even work, but swap the interchangable pieces from cylinder 4 to another cylinder and see if the misfire code changes?

Again I do not know if this is possible, just seems like a good idea in my head haha

Time to measure some valve clearances when he shows up.

Thanks for the correction. i was trying to find a clear answer on the web and they list the EJ257 as being in his year car, the 255 is wrx and the 257 is STi?
