Custom exhaust work

I need a catless midpipe made for my BPM exhaust system. Would anyone know of anyshop willing to make such a pipe for me. I can roll in with a cat, and roll out with one-I have the BPM cat-ed mid pipe.

TIA,
Ken

Yeah, Mike's Mufflers in Mountain View should be able to do it for you. They're located on Moffett just east of Central Expy. in Mountain View.

You mean Michaels' Mufflers?? If so, I don't think they will do it.... Maybe.....I talked to the owner at the San Jose shop....we are friends....and they said they can't do it, they could get fined. But maybe that is because I would have been Catless. So, if you still end up having cats....maybe.

Just letting you know....but hope you find a place

o you know him huh? wow you are quite the namedropper freddie!! haha

well, i don't see why they couldn't make one for you just as long as you specify that it's for off road use. as long as they don't install it on your car, i don't see how they could get fined. if you just take them the catted midpipe and ask them to fabricate a catless midpipe and tell them its' for racing use only, there should be no problem. i would be interested to see how this goes, so be sure to post what ends up happening. the guys at michaels in mountain view are pretty dam cool, if you bring them a 20 box of bud bottles i bet they'd do it for ya.

hahaha Ya BEER is the ticket!! hahahaha

Well, I asked them if they could make the Dp I have now...catless....then I got the answer they gave me. Maybe they just didn't want to do it...I dunno!!! Now that I think about it....I talked to his main guy in the office...who I am cool with, .....and not directly with the owner, Bill. So, maybe that had something to with it. But I didn't go into it with him, just said ...OK....and that was it. No biggie

Now, if you want me to talk to Bill about his shop in MV....and how they do work for beer.....I WILL do it...huh? J/k I'm not like that....Most Body Shops I worked for do the SAME thing. hahahaha.... If someone gets them to do it.....SWEET!!!!

Oh Ya, Bills no dummy when it come to "off road" use. That man takes a brand new "muscle car"...totally pumps it up MORE....then get rid of it.....because he can. hahahahaha. Must be nice...huh? He know his cars....

Plus he knows...just like EVERYONE else.......My car will NEVER be "off road" So, I don't think that will work for me. Bill knows alot about our cars....after all....he owned the ORIGINAL Vishnu Stage 3!!! and helped fab it.

No IM .....and NO he doesn't post here and never did....why not? I dunno! He had an 03 Cobra after he sold the stage 3 car, and pumped it up...sold it, and now has a Roushe 3 that he is "playing" with. Next I think is going to be an.............STi!!!!!!

well, heres a link. http://www.vishnutuning.com/images/dyno/stage3-1.jpg
Now these could be the NEW VS 3 numbers....but the "original" WAS FAST!!!!!! oh crap!!!!

Now keep in mind....when I say "Original" I mean the first design....The one Shiv has now...is WAY better....more HP
I am thinking about getting it....but we'll see

if you wanna trade, i have one custom made for my wrx last year.

but i plan on trading it or selling when i get the STi in a few months.

i want to return the car to stock again.

comes with a custom made uppie too.

it was made to connect from the turbo to the flange where it connects to the factory exhaust (muffler and pipe).

i'll take your cat (assuming it's a universal one - need one for my truck) and a few $$$ for the trade... paid $600 for it last may...

lemme know...
