According to you, you just got a check for ~19k of it, so you don't have to take out quite such a loan. With credit getting tighter, you're gonna need to pay with the cash, not go into debt....

Where are the gun supporters and companies on this? They need to all get together and refuse to sell weapons to the military and police departments.

Only problem is that I don't have a car, and I can't exactly drive a rifle around like a witch on a broom... I could always car jack someone for a car...

With our new leader in chief and the senate being controlled by DemocRATS this very may well become a reality.

Not to sound rude but why do you need a gun? I think everyone would be better without them, Or some people that have them should not have them.

I wouldn't be surprised if those bigger issues get pushed aside to pass some good old emotional based legislation.

I'm not agreeing with the legislation, only pointing out it is simply a re-authorization- it isn't anything new or different from what's been on the books since '93.
A law that is fraught will problems and is unenforcible should not be a law.

This is one their most pressing issues; an armed society is very difficult to "re educate".

Does "The right to bear arms" ring a bell?

I'm a registered Democrat. I don't own a gun. I think legislation like this is foolish and misguided. Gun control only (negatively) affects legitimate owners, not the criminals that everyone's so concerned with. The weapons aren't the problem, and the weapons have legitimate uses for hunting, home defense, and entertainment. Trying to control weapons production, sale, and ownership by legitimate owners is pointless and contradictory to the beliefs our country was founded on.

Take a look sometime at assault rates (with and without weapons) in states that issue concealed carry permits......they're lower than California. Why could that be?
