I used to see Chris at the auctions all the time. The guy does know Subarus and loves the salvage ones.

What I like about his sales tactic is that he includes the before pic of the damage on all of his cars.

Yeah, and he has a pretty good idea by now of exactly what he can easily fix and not, so he picks up some decent cars. The two I bought from him were both clean titles.

2006 Subaru Impreza WRX Limited - Toyota Sunnyvale

WRX wagon limited, has a sedan front, and gold bbs's... seems like a perfect platform. Only 100k miles. Wish this was around when I was looking for a car. Seems like it has an aftermarket hood scoop too.

2004 Subaru Forester X 137,800 Miles RED Good fun.

OK, let me start off by saying I'm selling my 2004 Beast-aru Forester. My friend, if it were possible for a vehicle to sprout chest hair and a five o'clock shadow, this Subaru would look like Tom Selleck. It is just that beastly.

If you are looking for a car to conquer mountains, this is YOUR car, but if you're looking for a glorified grocery getter, back off, that's what your Prius is for.

This SUV was engineered by Nth degree ninja pirate super-warriors in the highest mountains of Japan to serve the needs of the super-humans who cheat death on a daily basis. They didn't even consider superfluous nancy boy amenities like navigation systems, heated leather seats, or On Star (I don't even know what On Star is).

This beast comes with the things us fueled super action humans need. It has a 154 HP engine to outrun the cops (only if they are on horses) and a 4 speed automatic transmission. Gear 1 is fast, 2-faster, 3, fastest, 4-literally brake your neck from acceleration. This tank develops so much down force, it will brake the ground it rules upon if you accelerate too quickly. Driving this car is like riding on the back of a fire breathing, human devouring dragon, who's pissed because you stepped on his tail.

My price on this bad boy is an incredibly low $4500 but if you call in the next ten minutes, I'll double YOUR ORDER!! I'll entertain reasonable offers. And by reasonable, I mean don't walk up and tell me you'll give me $300 for it. That's liable to earn you a Burmese-roundhouse-sphincter-kick with a follow up three fingered eye-jab.

There's only 370² miles on this all-wheel drive hellcat from Planet Kickass. Trust me, it will outlive you and the offspring that will carry your name. It will live on as a monument to your machismo.

Now, go look in the mirror and tell me what you see. If it's a rugged, no holds barred, super beast, Chuck Norris stunt double, then reply to this ad.

That RS is not worth what he's asking. If it were a bugeye WRX he couldn't even get his price.

While there is demand for them, some people seem to think they are made of gold. Remember too, asking price and selling price aren't the same thing.

It looks in really nice shape, I'll bet you he still gets around 6k for it. A lot of guys cant get their head around the idea that because they are not a WRX theres no way they should ever cost more, but it is simply supply and demand, more people want them now and theres not nearly as many of them as WRXs. They only brought around 13000 2.5 RSs into the U.S. in their whole 4 year run, thats about 1/2 the number of WRXs that were sold in the U.S. in 2002 alone. Hell just look at M3s, I'll bet the first time used E30 M3s were asking as much as used E36 M3s, people were rolling their eyes too. Now they are at least twice as expensive as E36s.

Bottom line is, 2.5 RSs are probably going to go for the same or more $ than similar condition bugeye WRXs for the foreseeable future, if Im wrong and in a year or two from now the bottom falls out ofthe 2.5 game and you see guys not able to sell them for 3-4k then feel free to come back here and bump this to laugh at me

The mileage is way to high for the asking. But RS's sell for more than wrx's.
