IIRC I payed $300 for the window and $100 for the install for a PPG replacement. $855 is too much. I am up in Eureka so unfortunately I can not help you with shops.

Try this out. I believe they quoted me 185 for non OEM, minus the weather stripping (may or may not need to be changed out).

don't contact your insurance company. You still have to pay your deductible. So unless you have a rediculously low deductible it's not worth it.

I paid like $450 for mine. It's not OEM but it is OEM quality...it's actually showing to be stronger than the piece of crap OEM one.

I'd expect to pay anywhere from $225-450. I only paid so much because I got a fix it ticket with a 48 window on it. booooooo.

I know a few folks on here know of some pretty cheap places. I think i've seen as low as $180 on here.

your insurance must be cooler than mine. I contacted my guy and he just told me to take care of it cause my deductible would be more than the windshield. He did say that my insurance rates would not be affected.

Dude, I was in the same boat - now with Safeco and my policy is less with a $100 deductable than with GEICO and a $500. My SAAB 9-5 had a cracked windshield, SAAB wanted around $1250 for the job. I called my insurance guy, he gave me a number to call since it's a comp claim. I called, $100 later the dude came to my work from Safelite and was done in about 40 minutes.
