Titek downpipe installed :)

First of all, very nice piece. It cost be 407 before tax and shipping, and looks amazing . Fit great. I was a bit skeptical, but I took the gamble based off of few reviews, however I can just tell you now its an awsome dp and I am very happy with the purchase . Came with the cel fix too. Anyway, lets see how it holds up in the coming months / years but, so far so good. And there are plenty in stock everywhere!! Oh, and stage 2 with just an off the shelf map on my 06 is friggin awsome and sounds bad *** w/ a borla hush . That is all.

Is the sound a lot louder, or just a little louder than stock?

dude 400 is way too much, shoulda went for a catted helix if it is catted cause those are only about 300 bucks...

and a catless helix is like 200 with a bellmouth.. to spend over 300 for a downpipe is lame...

and divorced wastegates are over rated..

Yes, it is catted.

And evsoul...I don't know if you have done much research here on the boards, but try it, and then let me know if you still would like to stick with your previous statement. So, helix catted being 329 and out of stock everywhere with rumors of no more production, and the terrible fitment / quality of the pieces, would you go with that, or the titek which is ~70 dollars more, is in stock, and fits perfectly (with a gaurentee that it will btw).

Smitty I'll give you a ride assuming you will be at monday nights meet and assuming I don't have work. (I don't think I do). Can I just say it pulls like crazy compared to stock? Its amazing and I <3 it. MUCH better on the freeway too - 80 to 120 is too easy lol.

As for noise, with my borla hush its really not very loud at all. It does however sound VERY nice when you are wot, so its a good balance. Just cruising around is very mellow.

Oh, also, for those who have the borla hush, as you know the downpipe end of the midpipe has the little slits in the pipe, I forget what, I think it was for the 2.5" taper. Well, I got the 3" flange for the hush so I can use it w/ a 3" downpipe, and the flange wasnt long enough. In order to be able to physicly bolt it to the downpipe, the flange only went into the midpipe an inch or so - which left about half an inch of that slit, meaning instant exhaust leak. YAY! So I contacted subydude (cus I paid 50 ****ing dollars for that pos welded flange!!), but in the mean time the clamp thing that tightens around the pipe has been strategicly clamped over the exposed slit, so I am pretty I'm not leaking for the time being, but still...

i hate the hush's clamp system. makes install more difficult than it needs to be.

the new helix stuff doesn't fit as well...the reviews you are probably seeing are from the old helix products, which did fit well. They now come from somewhere else and they do not fit well

the titek stuff is a perfect fit.

Last time I checked, every single vendor was out. This was a week or two ago, but they said things were coming in during october. So where are they in stock exactly? And that four hundo is only about 70$ more than the helix so...Don't think its that drastic of a difference. Also I'm not sure if you are installing the stuff yourself, but I am curious to know how much longer it would take to install the helix and to get it to fit right, and then equate that to how much more you'd pay the mechanic...assuming you have it installed. I was just talking with andrew from ss about how the helix uppipe they got was ****ed and didnt sit right, and it leaked.

Trust me when I tell you that a titek piece is the way to go. These downpipes are going to get so popular in the upcoming weeks..
