So like two days ago, i was on my way home like 5 minutes away from my house when i see this cop just parked on the side of the street. I'm already like ****, man he's gonna pull me over for my exhaust (blitz nur-spec). He pulls out and starts tailing me. Eventually he turns on his lights and pulls me over like right in front of my neighborhood. He said "I'm pulling you over for your loud exhaust". He then asks me for my license, registration blah blah, and im like ****. Earlier that day i had to go to the dmv to get my registration edited, because i guess the previous owner of my car made a mistake on it. So i try and look for my registration, and i forgot that its in my MOMS CAR. So i tell the officer the whole story and he tells me to wait in my car for a minute. He comes back, tells me to pop my hood. He cant find the carb sticker on my HKS short ram and tells me to turn on my lights. He then says that my license plate tilt is illegal. He made me sit down in my car again for like 15 mins. He came back and was like, "So who's car is this?" He kept asking me this over and over. I told him it belongs to me, and he didnt believe that. Then he was like "So where did u get that sticker that goes on ur license plate from?" and im like wow dood, this is my car, my registration is just up the street. Then he told me " Oh its convienient that your house is down the street, because you can walk there" (implying that he is going tow my car) and now im like WTF. So yah, i keep explaining the story to him, and he goes back to his car for one last time. He comes back, and tells me to come with him. Man i thought he was gonna arrest me, but he just had me sign a few things. So at the end of the day, i got a fix it ticket for my exhaust, hks intake, and my LICENSE PLATE. wow. Sorry for the rant. I'm still pissed off about all of this, but hey what can u expect? If im gonna mod my car i guess im gonna get in trouble every once and a while. oh well. I just thought i'd tell everybody in subie community lol. Thanks for reading.

Luckily you just ended up with a fix-it and some wasted time.

Yeah he said i cant have it tilted like that, cuz if i were to go through a toll without paying, they wouldnt be able to get my plate? wow much? too bad u can still see my numbers even if u are above my car.

Lol, That sucks. Good thing you got away easy, that Blitz is just soo damn loud. I had the N1 Street and thank God I didn't get any tickets, that CBE was really loud aswell. I'm happy with my Greddy Ti-C, I don't think it would attract cops.

Yeah, i just love the sound of blitz tho. I heard that even tho cops may THINK your exhaust is loud, alot of the time its still under the certain decibal rate?

 

i feel you man the same thing happened to me on thursday night. the cop was waiting after the toll plaza after i passed he followed me and decided to pull me over i have hks btw and on top of that i was running catless dp but i got off easy just a loud exhaust and no front license plate freakin fixin ticket... i think its just BS he couldnt find a good excuse cept for that he had me pop my hood but didnt see anything lol

yeah man hella lame. oh well, what can you really do about it. I just think they should spend more time catching drunk drivers and people that are driving illegally, rather than people that are actually obeying the law n stuff. lol just my two cents. this was near hillborn, off of waterman in fairfield btw.
