Well, if your car is stock then yeah, nothing to worry about BUT if you have a modded subie, chances are that the part is illegal for street use and you're afraid of a cop pulling you over and giving you a ticket for exhaust, tint, or stupid stuff like that, and that's why almost all of us get nervous when we see cops on the road.

Its because the city and state are trying very hard to make money, and I am stock, and I didn't break the law, and I still get bugged by that Milpitas PD at that one meet about a month ago.
There's always a SF State cop on 19th and Holloway, squad car sometimes on Font and Arballo hiding at the entrance to the underground parking lot, and a lot of times on Sloat as well. There's usually a motorcycle cop that hides around Sloat (on the side heading towards the zoo , and a squad car patroling Ocean Ave around the Sloat area (from 19th Ave down to Springfield St and Lowell HS). Sometimes there's a squad car hiding on Sunset Blvd and Wawona St and a motorcycle cop hiding behind the bus stop (the shelter where people wait for the bus, on the side heading towards GG Park) on Yorba St.
Those are the common areas cops like to hide and pull people over in that area

I think we should just be happy here in the Bay Area, because here in Arizona near my school, there are undercover cops in lifted trucks or even the most unsuspected cars. There are speed camera vans that they can put or hide anywhere. Not to mention speed cameras all over the freeways and streets also red light cameras at all the major intersections.

I've never seen one. Maybe it's the time I drive past there (in the mornings and whatnot). But this one time there was a motorcycle cop parked right at the traffic light next to the school (right in the middle of the road where the left turn is to go into the school driveway). He had his radar gun pointed at me and the other traffic going down the hill. I was like "Oh isht!" slammed on my brakes, rolled by in neutral and proceeded as if I didn't see the cop. I think I was going like 5 mph above the speed limit. Don't remember was a long time ago.
HA! That's a win, except this 1 time I was driving the Prius and I got pulled over! I was like WTF?!?! Am I seriously getting pulled over in a ****ing Prius? So come to find out my g/f forgot to renew the registration...

the freeway speed cameras should be out of service unless you mean the mobile van units they place up in "unsuspecting" areas. as for the red light cams, this should really be a non-issue cuz you shouldn't be running them in the first place. my only gripe is the permanent speed cameras still up on city streets. otherwise, i'd have to say that the driving experience (particularly the lack of tree-hugger noise/emissions laws and the quality of phoenix roads/freeways) is significantly better than up here in the bay (for obvious reasons).
<= recently moved back to the bay area from phoenix

so uh yeah...lotta cops out these days :P
