The coolant in my Suby is pretty low...

sorry for the old bump but...you can get distilled water at any safeway or albertsons right? My overflow tank looks a tiny bit low, and I'm gonna add a bit of distilled water in it.

Yes, look for bottles of distilled water (as opposed to spring water or other drinking water) at any supermarket. Distilled water is best because it is achieved by boiling the water and catching the condensing fluid into another tank. The residue it leaves behind are the minerals which cause problems in cooling systems.

yes...distilled water is distilled water...

mix a 50/50 with coolant.

better yet, buy a bottle of WETTER WATER at any fine auto part stores...

Yeah I was thikning about getting Water Wetter but to add I will ahve to take some coolant out and put that stuff in, I'm going to wait until I flush the coolant and replace to add that good stuff. Lots of post about water wetter. Thanks for the help guys.

No reason not to drain out a pint of coolant or so to get the WW in.

Also good to note that if your going to run WW you shouldn't run the Subaru coolant conditioner at the same time or it will clump up.
