Th e coolant in my Suby is pretty low...
should I be concerned? There is some in there, but it's pretty low!!
Never had my temperature gauge go up tho? |
thats your resevoir tank
if you are worried about it just fill it up to the line with some water |
Check it when it's hot! It should be fine! :D

I was going to do another oil change today when I notice the reservoir tank was pretty darn low! Thanks. |
no they don't, its just water and normal coolent
and yes, check it when engine is hot |
check it when its hot... look for seapage of coolant around the radiator.. edges.. and around the clamps...
you should be fine.. edgar, :) |
You'll be fine Luke. That's just the overflow tank. Mine looks like that too. :) Check it when your car is hot, and it'll be way more filled.

Distilled water is better than tap water, especially on engines with aluminum blocks/heads.

could you explain this reasoning? Just want to learn more useless knowledge on coolant... :confused: Thanks, - Ulysses |
Tap water = minerals = rust.
Distilled = clean = good. |
Would the high heat the radiator is exposed to burn off any of those minerals from the tap water?
