Gonna be weird without him their next year. I honestly think he could win AT LEAST one more. I mean nobody competes with the guy. It's like MJ when he retired the first time. nobody better...ever.

Hopefully he'll do the next olympics. I'd like to see him win gold. He always too tired for the olympics after the tour.

I think the future of american riding is exciting..thanks mostly to lance and his dominance. That kid from berkerley. Zabrinsky or whatever...he was looking good until the fall. We've got a couple quality young riders that have the talent but not the knowledge yet. Sounds like Lance wants to work with them so that bodes well for their future. I think there are a couple guys with better chances next year but I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple americans fight for one in maybe 3 years.

 

yeah theres still a few good american riders left out there. floyd landis, big george hincapie, levi liepheimer all look really good. i just dont know if they are potential tour winners when compared to the euro powerhouse teams with strong riders at the helm. vino, rasmussen, valverde, and basso are all strong as hell. should be an interesting tour next year!

 

hehe i wonder if he got paid for that one too. they are all nike sponsored as well!

 

maybe it has something to do with nike having a TON of freakin money and in general they only sponsor the best of the best.


I think it has more to do with lance's desire to be the best ever at his sport and when you have that kind of drive you generally only pay attention to those that are the best at their sport.

and if you think about it...all except for tiger were in the prime of their careers when Lance was in high school to college......and tiger became THE man about the same time as Lance did.

That makes more sense to me.

 

i know i know nike does only get the best... but its more fun being cynical.

that was last year. There was a huge fight over it being real for the longest time. So lame. Everything is photoshopped online..haaaa.

Guys crazy. he ate crap on that too. The landing was sketchy once they moved in the police cars and what not..there was no time for a test run and he didn't want to do a test run and get busted. So one shot one go. Cool as hell idea though. The guys a nut.

 

I know it wasn't this year I met Dave Watson (really nice guy) along with all the other riders at the Disorderly Conduct premiere. Cedric is definitly the craziest, although... all of them are nuts :rotfl:

yeah he jacked himself up good. Can't remember what it was. I do seem to remember a seperated hammy being part of it though.

He had to land in a really small patch area..just over the people just next to the police cars...tell you the truth..I've never seen the video for it. I just remember when the photo got leaked it was a big deal over on my other board...pinkbike.com. Which is down right now. We've got a lot of freeriders and freeride fans. Dave has posted before. very nice guy. Some very cool guys out there....I know he gets flack for recking a lot but I've talked to Bender on a few occassions...very cool guy.

 

Werd. I met all the guys and every single one was very nice. All crazy Canadians My good friend is in the last video, Disorderly Conduct. He's one of the very few Americans doing well in the sport (he was #2 in last years Ultimate Freeride Challenge)

 

Yesss...too bad he didn't land it... That would've been so badass. I'd love to ride NOrCal...
