worked on my xbox last night to fix the RR0D and tried a few different things. Finally I said screw it, ill leave it out of the box and put a floor fan on it to see if it works..

So this is how i played last night

 

I did that with a PS2 some 10 years ago. I didn't want to buy a new one so I took it apart and had it sitting on my floor. The CD wouldn't read. Got it working and left it alone. One drunk night I stumbled out to the bathroom and kicked it. It didn't work after that.

 

hahah! Yeah, people are friggin dumb. I gave my friend a bunch of grief for being an idiot and standing in line. His excuse was that he was bored and had nothing else to do so him and a couple of friends bought a bottle of whiskey and waited in line for 7 hours! 7 friggin hours just to come home and find out that the game lags like crazy and has a bunch of bugs. I'd be pissed.


Everyone with a brain came in the next day and picked theirs up in a matter of mins like you mentioned. I will never understand why people wait in lines like these just to get their phone 24 hours before anyone else gets theirs... Like the i-phone junkies who also waited in line, sometimes for DAYS! I can understand if they were giving away free stuff (not crappy stuff either) to the first 50 or 100 people and waiting for that (which I still wouldnt do, but at least it's justified since you get free stuff for your trouble, unlike these people who just got it like 12 hours before others did... WTF?)

HAHAHHA! Reminds me of my old gaming rig! The case my PC was housed in would cause the rig to overheat big time, so I took off the case and put one of those industrial floor fans right up to the side blowing directly into the computer, lol! It was loud as hell but I wear headphones when I play so it doesn't make a diff.


As ghetto as that is, it worked, and not only worked but worked GREAT! My PC dropped around 20 degrees if I remember correctly which is better than having a liquid cooled rig (water cooled PC's suck BTW, I know people think they are GREAT but I've tested about 10 different models at work and they all failed at some point and started leaking, and even if they didn't leak it didn't cool down the PC enough so it would still overheat. The worst computer that I've ever tested was an Alienware liquid-cooled gaming PC. It sprung leaks regularly and still didn't cool off the computer so it would still over heat. You also had to use their lame "coolant" which was like green water. SUCK!!! Alienware sucks, don't ever buy anything made by them, EVER!

i got it the nite before but didnt have to wait. im not feeling it,just not as smooth. and a side note,is the ******* who flew through the parking lot in vacaville in here? black sti did a full throttle run past people throwing a football.

Haven't tried the lagging fix but I'll do it when I get home and report back.

 

I think IW is dead or no longer working on the cod games, a new company is taking over on the next one. I think they're called sledgehammer.

mw2 was not solid, they had to patch up that crap so many times

 

i have had no issues at all accept an xbox freeze while i was in the party menu.

the campaign is pretty dope so far.

 

trucking through veteran...nearly threw my controller a couple of times. almost done. about to smash my xbox if i can't get passed this god damn section! on a calmer note, this game is eh, haven't been online yet(usually finish game on veteran and offline achievements first). it's not an infinity ward game, but its better than WAW lol.

durring the closing sequence with kennedy i know i heard "-11-22-" as part of the code (kennedy was shot on Nov 22) but i missed the rest and haven't figured out the first part...
