good thing you started this thread, people might not have noticed the one 3 threads below it thats over 1000+ posts long where we've been talking about this all year lol

 

i just got done playing a few team deathmatches and so far it's just alright. the mechanics don't feel as smooth as MW2. hopefully it gets better with time.

Your right Gabe. MW2 did feel alot smoother compared to Black Ops
Might be the servers running a little slow. Matt kept complaining his game was glitching. Still fun though.

 

Picked up my game at toys r us. Got the game, free COD Blacks Ops Tshirt and $20 gift card.

 

will probably pick up the pc version as i cant play fps using controllers...

thinking of going with "dude_manrod" as my name...

 

First person shooters are all so similar and get old soooo fast, at least in my opinion. It's cool if you're playing some friends online but they are all similar and have the same common theme, just differences in graphics/levels and basic things.


I know I'm pretty much alone here, but my fav game is Hitman, so what do I know, right? (I like the element of Hitman where you can do anything you want in order to finish your missions, it takes a lot of thinking and patients... All the hitman games have sucked me in harder than any other game in the history of time, it's a shame that more games like that don't exist. )

 

I prefer FPS games like the SOCOM series that require the player to have some actual skills and tactics, instead of just relying on perks and other things to kill their opponents. It's almost too easy to kill someone in COD and it gets boring after a while.

 

I agree and know EXACTLY what you mean! I hate games that don't require any brain power... I actually like thinking and love having strategies with a team of people to execute missions more efficiently. The whole "free for all" thing like in Quake, Unreal, etc gets old really fast.

 

then wait for SOCOM 4. It's gonna be sick if they get rid of the PS MOVE aspect/crap

 

That's why you play with a group where you can implement tactics.

I really like the new record option, so after a game of death match the few guys I was playing and myself watched the film to see what we could do better.
