Also (I'm about to shoot any possible credibility away here) I will admit I never played COD4 online. I waited to get the game when I found it on the PC for 20 bucks, and by then I was afraid of how badly behind the world I'd be This time around, I'll pick it up right away
Totally worth it!
When COD MW2 comes out look for our thread in So Cal.

Last I heard, online gaming on the Wii was bordering PITA realms (needing to deal with the friends codes just to play people) and nearly automatic (I think you would just wait for vs in guitar hero). That was like back when SSBM came out, and even then I never even bothered playing it I imagine they've gotten better/easier to get into online multiplayer.
The Wii is also another great example of the technically weakest hardware outselling the more powerfull hardware. Problem with the Wii is they're falling into the same trap they did back with the gamecube - relying mostly on 1st party games, with a few sparkling 3rd party gems. This time around though, there's copious amounts of absoute shovelware you need to wade through just to get to any gems. This is the reason why my online experience on the Wii is non-existant; there's nothing to try it with. I will admit I haven't tried Mario Kart on the Wii, even though I bought it, I just gave it to my sister

That's kinda how I was with COD4. Bought it when it released in November, beat it in 4hrs but didn't have my PS3 connected online. Finally picked up a router months later. I had no shot of getting the top ranks, but still ranked up pretty high. Might go straight to online with MW2 and see if I can keep up with the top ranks
i was at 10k and then left now im at 80K
just have fun

sigma, add me on PSN (if you dont mind). Usually playing COD4 since work is dead. Do you know anyone that has used the frag fx controller? Heard frag fx v2 felt kinda cheap, was thinking of picking it up.

Looks awesome. I just beat Resistance 2 yesterday. Didn't take too long, but was fun. I haven't played any of the new call of duty games, but watched my roommates play. Modern warfare was awesome, especially with that sniper level. World at war has the fun **** zombie level. I will definately pick this one up though.
