Clutch Issue

Saw this quote from here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBi5B_jVVGU:

A throwout bearing shot has a constant noise noise when you let off the clutch, the noise goes away when you press the clutch. It's a consistent noise and changes with engine speed with the clutch out.
This is exactly my issue. Can the throwout bearing be replaced or is it wiser to get an entire new clutch installed?

I blew a throwout bearing once. I could only hear a noise when moving in reverse.

If you clutch is pretty worn, you might as well replace it while your tranny is split from the motor. If your clutch is fairly new, you can save $400+.

^ Yea, its gonna be the same amount of labor to disassemble the tranny from the engine whether you want to replace the whole clutch or just the bearing. If clutch is old, might as well replace it and save yourself some more money for labor or time down the line. But if its fairly new and seemed to be just a failed bearing, then get that. Thats the much cheaper option.
