CHP is targeting speeders again....

From SFGate:

"The California Highway Patrol will be targeting speeders and enforcing speed limits in areas dogged by speeding drivers, CHP Officer Mike Wright announced Wednesday.

In an effort to heighten driver awareness and keep traffic at safe speeds, the CHP is a pursuing a zero-tolerance approach to speeding in the nine Bay Area counties.

CHP teams of six to eight officers equipped with radar and working with CHP aircraft will try to slow traffic and enforce speed limits.

Some of the upcoming speed enforcement efforts the CHP has announced are: Friday morning in San Mateo County, on Interstate Highway 280 near Crystal Springs; Saturday evening in Sonoma County, on River Road; and Sunday morning in Alameda County, on Interstate Highway 880 through Fremont and Hayward.

Each month, 24 speed enforcement teams are on the roads and the CHP typically announces as many as 16 of their locations, Wright said. "

I don't understand how CHP think. I was going approx 75, and I saw one so I slightly pulled my e-brake to slow down slightly quicker than just letting off the gas to about 68. As soon as I pass him I hear my V1 blaring like crazy. Well, okay that's fine, but he then turned it off and about 15 seconds later a crazy riced out BRIGHT yellow MR2 flew by me going atleast 85 and the cop doesn't do anything... By the way, I'm in a wingless silver WRX, with a pretty quiet exhaust for a WRX, and EDMs, nothing else looks non-stock on my car...

Saw 6 Chippers from Thornton to 92 going north on 880 this morning and 3 of them were already pulling people over. Thanks for the warning, I was driving well below the speed limit even with my V1.

Take it easy everyone.
