I'm biased to wagons, so I say keep it.

But really, why do you want a sedan?

If you want to understand WRX wagon love, go do a track day in the wagon, and then on the way home by a big screen TV and transport it home in your "track car".

BTW, have you done track days yet? If not, you should. It makes you realize that your skills are way below even a fully stock car.

well i have been thinking about it and its not a smart idea to upgrade just yet
im not going to lie, haha, im still under 18 and im already at the limit paying for this car as is
I could trade mine for a sedan, but then the dealer is going to give me something worth less value and prly will have more miles by a good amount

I have been thinking about it all the time for a while now and I really don't find the sedan that much greater than the wagon in the end, but
im really sick of everyone raging on the wagon
im hoping some goodies will fix that hopefully

so if i do keep the wag, i got about $2000 to spend right now on some mods
I already bought a catback, so I am thinking a used dp, cobb ap for starters.
Thasts about $800. Then, I am thinking a set of bigger rotas from subydude and either a set of good springs, struts or some bc racing br coilovers.
What do you guys think? I know thats closer to 3000 but whatever.
I also would love a seat, because the wrx one is so big and uncomfortable haha im only 130 pounds, but I don't wanna cheap out so I should prly wait to find a used bride.
Any suggestions to further my improvements in a better way haha?

Don't buy mods; go to track days. That catback coulda bought you THREE TRACK DAYS.

I'd rather get a track day in an old stock '90 Miata, than a day with a 350Z but limited to the street. You don't know what you're missing until you try it.

Track days are investing in YOU, while mods are investing in YOUR CAR.

Hey man, build the ride you like. Forget what people say about the wagon. Who knows? Someone might be like, "I don't really like wagons, but I like your car." I wished I had a wagon. I wouldn't have to sound deaden the hell out of my trunk so that crap doesn't rattle. It'd be easier on road trips to carry stuff and I wouldn't have to borrow my dad's truck or anything.

You could take that 2 grand and put it toward your car loan and acually own the whole car instead of part of it. It will also put you in a better position if you fall behind in payments(not saying you will). Hiding the car from the repo guys gets old after a while.
Private party sales ftw. bought my 02 in 04 with 25k on it for 15k after taxes and what not.

Oh I have thought about that, but basically I am selling a toy right now and I have no intentions to turn fun money into payment money.
Besides I have had this car for 1.5 years and it was made to be modded, which I have done none of(catback does nothing).

Oh I know, the dealer I bought mine at was very proffesional though, I was surprised. I made them an OTD price, but they didn't have my first or second choice color, but I did like the wagon they had. It sold that day and they told me they needed an extra 250-500 above the price I gave them, but they promised to try and find swp. They found one and according to them it was the only swp left coming for CA! It worked out perfectly, it hadn't even been delivered yet, so no one ever drove it.

Where are you tracking at? I would love to, but whenever I hear about local tracks, they make it sound like you not only need a helmet(which I should have), but cages, etc. I would love to do some road racing out at sears point (infineon), but not sure what everyone is doing to get out there.

Ya, it definetly is more roomy and stock vs. stock I think a wagon looks better than most sedans.

Here is one place that puts on track days. I've done 2 events with them. Very professional and great experience.

I would agree that you should track your car before you mod it. I did auto-x for a year before I started modding it more. I only had a catback. The biggest difference you will notice, get a new rear sway bar. Even a stock sedan bar on a stock suspension wagon will make a huge difference.
