I got a cnt catted downpipe, they claim it is t304 stainless steel but i'd still want to get it coated...even if I ended up with a branded dp (cobb,perrin, etc) I'd still want it coated just for that extra peace of mind.


I know the material plays a huge factor in preventing rust, but without actually knowing the % composition of metal used and companies cost cutting nowadays, I would still spend the extra money for the longevity of the dp that I'm going to install..

This is the first thing I got done to the car.




Ill be going back to school for my masters this september and I want to do everything (maintenance, part install) to the car as I will have no time to (remove, install, remove, install) parts because it is failing or what not. I just want it to be trouble free for at least 2-3 years.

I went with swaintech white lightning coated, quality ceramic thermal coating, looks terrific & very durable

If you have the time to ship there & back I think it's worth it.
