Caster Adjustment for Alignment

Hi. I was wondering if the dealer is the only place that can adjust the Caster for my alignment. Sears wasn't able to fix this and its causing some cupping on my front left tire. Does anyone have any recommendations for a shop in the east bay that could correct my alignment including the caster setting?

Thanks in advance.

Caster adjustment is not available on stock WRX suspension parts.

With that much variation, check for bent components (i.e. bent strut on the front left).

The "range" specified is a VERY loose number (i.e. lets whoever is doing the job cover their butt without doing it right). In reality, you should be VERY close on your WRX on both sides, in the 3.3-3.5 range.

Note that you can play some toe and camber tricks if all you want is to even tire wear (possibly at handling expense). You'll have to go to a GOOD suspension/alignment shop (hint : not Sears or Firestone ) to get it done.

Or Auto Innovations in Milpitas. Those guys are super nice and their alignment rack is awesome! Custom Alignment tends to get mad at 'normal' people going there... they do a lot of racecar stuff and are a bit snippy and expensive from what I have heard...

Custom Alignment can set you up right, and they know as much about this stuff as anyone in the Bay Area. I have had excellent results using them.

Downside : they aren't cheap.

Their phone is 650-961-5311, Jeff is the owner. They are located on Wyandotte St in Mtn View, about 2 minutes from the Rengstorff/101 intersection.
