In case you didn't have enough reason to not be able to tolerate Occupy Oakland.
no idea about the 2 domains. i take everything on there with a grain of salt. i was most interested in the stuff about the name on your SScard not actually being you, but a trust that you are a beneficiary of. Wages legally not being taxable, how there hasnt been a legal congress since like 1914, ect.

Each protest at Cal costs the University hundreds of thousands of dollars in police staffing, overtime, food, transportation, and outside assistance (I am not aware of exact numbers but it is obvious when you experience it first-hand). Not to mention the clean-up crews required to clean up all of the trash, flyers and damage done to University property. I worked for UCPD when I went to school there and helped staff several protests.
I understand and sympathize with the cause, but this is not contributing anything positive to the situation (besides public attention).
I also find it interesting when UC students are complaining about tuition increases when, based on my personal experience, (1) a large number of student's parents are paying for them (I would say >50% of people I knew) and (2) so few students at UC's have a job to help pay for their education. Stop feeling sorry about your situation and do something to help it. I worked 3 jobs (including graveyard shifts for the police department) while attending a UC as a full time student and graduated with no debt. I lived off-campus in a house far from campus and didn't eat out in order to save money.

When did you graduate? As a current UC student right now, I can't imagine how you would come up with 25k a year by working 3 jobs while going to school. If I did that, I couldn't hold up a 3.7 forsure. I go to class all day, then have no time for anything but meal time. Also the fact that tuition will be going up 80% the next 4 years, makes it even more impossible to graduate without debt.

At the beginning of each semester I either paid the tuition in installments or took out a subsidized loan if I couldn't afford it. Tuition was about $8-10k per year. Food/housing was ~$1k per month. Books were expensive if you just bought them from the student store but you can find creative ways of getting them (ebay, half.com, online .pdf's). Scholarships from high school, academics, and work helped too. I graduated and paid off the subsidized loans before their grace date this week.
To be honest I didn't go to lectures much. Most of class that I attended was labs (I was in engineering). I worked 30-40 hours per week during the school year and more over summer. It was a lot of hard work but it paid off.

The KGB is far too lax for Overbear.
