Yeah.... I'll gladly put on my cats again, but I dunno about all those misc. heatshields and pieces of metal, do I need 'em?

Also, what about an FMIC?

i dunno about the heatshields but just remove a few pieces of piping and put the stock tmic back on, no need to remove the core or anything though.

technically an intercooler is not an CARB item. But the boost bypass valve is. So it depends you may fail if you have your BPV welded on the FMIC tubing. Hoses are not a CARB item.

Keep in mind a testing only station can fail you for any of those things. Then you will have to go to the referree to have them approved.

Cheers

FMIC without a carb number will make you fail. i dont know if any of them have carb numbers... heat shields not sure. they might be able to say somethin stupid like it will make ur car run too hot and raise the nasty gasses levels.

there was a thread on NASIOC and someone there insisted that intercooler are not a CARB item.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=655553

So I am not 100% sure.

Cheers

Again, dont know about the front mount...but as far as the uppipe is concerned...dont worry about it...run the car for a little before and get it hot, then take it over, they will tes it hot anyway, but it cant hurt. Many cars have passed with aftermarket uppipes.

I am sure you can get some hose in an auto parts store.

Boost bypassvalve is an emissions item so no aftermarket ones.

Technically an upgraded TMIC with the stock Boost bypass valve should pass.
Hoses are not emission items.

Again a test station may fail you in that case you can take the car to the referee station.

cheers

Nick

Ps: think about it. If you pass the referee with a FMIC you will get a certificate and that should get you out of any other tickets

So use the stock BOV, which is good for 20 psi, on the front mount.
